About the Butcher's Wife
Traditional accompaniments

Debbie Edge has been a butcher’s wife for 25 years. Established in 1844 Edge and Sons is a sixth generation butchers shop in New Ferry. In 2014 they won the You and Yours Best Food Retailer of the Year category for the BBC Radio 4 Food and Farming awards.

As The Butcher’s Wife Debbie has been cooking and creating with rare breed meat and poultry daily. A love of entertaining and creating fantastic dishes with homemade sauces, chutneys, stuffing and gravy has inspired Debbie to offer some of her favourite extras  for others to enjoy. All are made using Edge and Sons rare breed sausage meat, home cured bacon with fresh local produce and herbs where ever possible.
